Relativistic Disk Lines in Stellar-mass Black Holes

In the last few years, observations of stellar-mass black holes have revealed that relativistic disk lines are common, if not ubiquitous, features in the spectra of these objects. New models make it possible to begin to constrain black hole spin in a sample of stellar-mass black holes using relativistic iron lines. This talk will cover preliminary spin measurements in stellar-mass black holes, and outline how these lines can be utilized to learn more about black holes in the near and long-term future.
